Stanley was in the Marine Corps and stationed in North Carolina when the victim’s parents discovered the relationship. A detective said messages were found on the device indicating he had sexually explicit conversations with multiple underage girls.

“He went to school with them. He knew they were underage. He knew how old they were. He was very good at grooming. The number of times she said things in our chats was, “I’m too young for this” and “You’re not.” “I’m too young physically and mentally,” Albuquerque Police Detective Don Roberts said. “Certainly not too young physically.”

Stanley pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual penetration of a child, two counts of child solicitation, and one count of possession of visual media of sexual exploitation. Judge Brit Baca Miller sentenced Stanley to 14 years in prison.
